Separated, No More

While we've known each other for sometime,
never did we imagine we're for each other.
And when we uttered what we both knew,
we started our walk - that one day in summer.

But just as we began our journey together,
we'd sadly be separated by the harshness of life;
and by mountain and seas, and by poorer weather
by borders and rules, and told to "no-fly".

Yet we press on, through thick and thin,
Though many nights where tears were shed.
For all we know that in the end,
we love each other, till God says when.

And here we are, through all the troubles,
together we stand, and still as couples.
And though we are a long way from shore,
we can finally say, "separated, no more."
